Church seniors plan activities
"We have a lot on our 2008 agenda," says Evelyn Marmitt, president. Hot dog day Aug. 21, a Halloween party Oct. 30, 'souper Tuesday,' Nov. 20, and a Christmas party at a local restaurant Dec. 18." Evelyn adds, "We do keep our club's members on the go with all our activities."
The seniors' trip planner Charlotte Lorkowski says there is still room for club members and non-members (55-years-of-age and older) to sign up for this year's trips.
They are:
Royal Polynesian Revue Aug. 13, nightclub revue and lunch, (Sabre Room, Hickory Hills, bus leaves at 10:30 a.m., $50.)
The Boys from Syracuse Sept. 18, a hilarious comedy involving two sets of identical twins. Lunch is a choice of lemon sole or roasted pork. (Drury Lane Oakbrook, bus leaves at 10:15 a.m., $52.)
Octoberfest in Chicago Oct. 15 featuring the Alpiners and lunch. (Diplomat West Nightclub, bus leaves at 11 a.m., $50.)
Christmas Musical Oct. 23 features lunch and spectacular stage show. (Fireside Theater in Wisconsin, bus leaves at 8:30 a.m., price to be announced.)
Radio City Rockettes and Christmas Show Nov. 20, Rosemont Theater in Rosemont, 2 p.m. show (first balcony center seating) with other details to be announced later.

Seniors need not be members of St. Marcelline Church to join the club which meets the first, third, (and sometimes fifth) Tuesday of each month at noon in Diemer Hall on the lower level of the church.
