LITURGICAL MINISTRIES
  [ HOME ]

You may take for granted when you come to church on Sunday or for a special event the various “extras” that make the Mass or service a meaningful experience. Greeters welcome you as you enter. Lectors proclaim God’s Word. Altar servers assist the priests and deacons during the celebration. Mass coordinators ensure everything goes smoothly.  Various musical elements bring the liturgy to life.

These are just a few of the groups that make it possible for us to have beautiful, faith-filled celebrations here at St. Marcelline. Called the Liturgical Ministries, the following organizations play an active role in enhancing the various worship services we celebrate throughout the year
.

  • ALTAR SERVERS are comprised of young people who assist the priest at Mass - Christine Cooper, Coordinator.
  • ART & ENVIRONMENT are parishioners who are charged with maintaining the environment in the worship space - Colleen Schlenker and Karen Tepe
  • CHILDREN'S LITURGICAL MINISTRY is made up of our younger parishioners who serve as Lectors, Greeters, and Gift Bearers during our weekly 9:00am Children and Family Liturgy.  If your child is interested in becoming part of this ministry, please call the Administration Center to be put in touch with the coordinator - Brett Garner, Coordinator.
  • EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS are confirmed parishioners who distribute communion to the assembly at our weekend Masses.  Training sessions are offered several times throughout the year and a flexible schedule is available - Dr. Brunelle, Minister of Liturgy & Music.
  • GREETERS are folks who greet our parishioners and guests at Mass.  They provide a welcoming smile to our many guests and parishioners who enter our church - Dr. Brunelle, Minister of Liturgy & Music.
